Manual of the perfect catechist

Catechesis is a school of life and not of doctrine. Or rather, if well explained, it is capable of leading to concrete choices and motivated by deep conviction, even in young teenagers. For a parish priest, catechesis is - together with the liturgy - the non-negotiable priority.
The best way to assist families is with catechists prepared, convinced, faithful to the Gospel and creative in communication. If teaching catechesis is a high form of education for life, then failures, questions, new perspectives of activity are accepted: because catechesis changes with the times, although it is always the same. I feel happy when I meet my catechists. I know that I can share with them the passion for the Lord and with them find new ways to attract our children to Christ.
