Description
In the Bible, the concept of mercy is identified with the pure and simple mystery of God. In the first part of this book, Father Cantalamessa reflects on the mercy of God: its manifestations in the history of salvation and in Christ, and the means by which it reaches humanity through the sacraments of the Church. In the second part, he proposes a reflection on the duty to be merciful, and on the works of mercy, especially on the duty of the Church and its ministers to be merciful to sinners, as was Jesus.
