THE SACRED BIBLE (Pastoral edition) aims to be an accessible source of pastoral solutions, where everyone, pastors and the faithful, can drink God's eternal Truth.
Not being an edition for scholars and experts, but for the a large audience, so thirsty for the Word of God, presents itself in accessible and simple language, where the Introductions and Notes are distinguished by the rigor and moderation proper to a message of a pastoral nature easy to grasp.

The Old Testament Notes were carefully revised by the biblical Frei Raimundo de Oliveira O.P. These do not intend to exhaust the subject, nor do they present themselves as rigid norms for reading the passage; on the contrary, they are only the beginning of reflection. The Titles seek to show the central core of the corresponding section, pointing out fundamental lines to weave a relationship between the biblical text and life.

The Translation, scrupulously faithful to the original texts, was really prepared to be the beginning of the dialogue between the Word of God and the word of men, towards the "civilization of love".

In this 6th edition, several subsidies were added, which we called Comments, to assist in the reading and meditation of the Word of God. They are curiosities, deepening, connection with life and with the Christian faith. It will certainly be a precious help to all who read and meditate on the Word daily, especially for catechesis.
