Official Rosary of the Centenary of the Apparitions of Fatima
In an initiative coordinated by the Business Association of Ourém-Fátima (ACISO), developed in close partnership and collaboration with the Sanctuary of Fatima, the National Press House (INCM) and a group of businessmen from the region, the Commemorative Rosary of the Centenary of the Apparitions was presented at a ceremony held at the Paul VI Pastoral Center in Cova da Iria. "It is a symbolic third that represents the past of religious history and also a little of the future." And, whoever gets it, will have and will carry a little Fatima in the heart, "said Amorim Gonçalves.
The beads of the rosary, in blown glass in a blend of white and sky blue, are produced artisanally in Marinha Grande. The dowel and cross are in zamak with copper and silver finish and the chain and wire are in silver brass, also produced in Portugal.
The manual linking of the rosary by local artisans is carried out by five religious entrepreneurs from Ourém-Fátima. The Commemorative Rosary of the Centenary of the Apparitions is presented in a transparent plastic case and includes a small informative book available in seven languages.
The main goal of the third project is to support a local institution, the Fatima Rehabilitation and Integration Center (CRIF), which helps people with disabilities. All the money raised will revert to the construction of a residential home for its disabled users whose families have the inability or difficulties to provide due follow-up, mainly due to old age or even death.
The Rosary will cost 12 euros, a value established as a single retail price. 1 euro of this amount will revert to the institution.
