There is a story of a man named Rafael Palacios who was a Mexican motorcyclist and a devout Catholic. Palacios had a fatal accident while riding his motorcycle, but he survived and attributed his survival to the intercession of St. Raphael, to whom he was praying at the time of the accident.
Since then, some motorcyclists have started to honor Saint Raphael as their patron saint, mainly in Mexico and other parts of Latin America.
Saint Raphael, also known as Saint Raphael, is a biblical figure venerated in the Catholic Church as an archangel. According to tradition, Saint Raphael is a healer and guide, and is associated with the virtue of charity. He is also known for his role in the Book of Tobit, where he helps Tobit's son Tobias on a journey and assists in healing Tobit's blindness.
The feast of Saint Raphael is celebrated on the 24th of October in the Catholic Church.
Prayer to Saint Raphael:
"O Raphael, lead us to those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us! Raphael, Angel of Good Encounters, lead us by the hand to those we are looking for! May all our movements, all their movements, be guided by your Light and transfigured by your Joy.
Guide angel of Tobias, place the request we now address to you at the feet of the One whose revealed face you have the privilege of beholding. Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and sadness of the earth, we feel the need to invoke you and to beg the protection of your wings, so that we are not like strangers in the Province of Joy, all ignorant of the concerns of our country.
Remember the weak, you who are strong - you whose home is beyond the region of thunder, in a land ever peaceful, ever serene and bright with the glory of God ablaze.
Amen."
