History and Prayer of Saint Veronica

Once upon a time, there was a woman named Veronica who lived in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus Christ. She was a kind and devout woman who had heard of the teachings of Jesus and was filled with great curiosity and hope. One day, she heard that Jesus was passing by on his way to his crucifixion and she knew she had to see him.

Veronica made her way through the crowd, pushing and shoving to get a glimpse of the man she had heard so much about. As she neared Jesus, she noticed he was bleeding and struggling to carry his cross. Without hesitation, she rushed forward, and with a veil she had, wiped the sweat and blood from his face. To her amazement, the image of his face was imprinted on the veil. Jesus, grateful for her kindness, blessed her and thanked her.

From that day on, Veronica carried the veil with her always, and the image on it was a constant reminder of the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. She shared her story with anyone who would listen, and it quickly became a symbol of hope and faith.
