Once upon a time, in the small town of Fatima, Portugal, three young children named Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta were playing in a field when they saw a vision of a beautiful lady dressed in white. The lady identified herself as the Virgin Mary and she asked the children to pray the rosary every day and to spread the message of peace and repentance to the world.
The children did as they were told, but the people of the town did not believe them at first. However, on October 13, 1917, a miracle happened in the same field where the children had first seen the Virgin Mary. The sun danced in the sky, turning different colors and causing people to fall to their knees in awe.
This miracle, along with the message of peace and repentance, eventually spread throughout the world, and Our Lady of Fatima became one of the most beloved and venerated figures in the Catholic Church.
On May 13 of every year, Catholics around the world celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, and they pray for peace, repentance, and the intercession of the Virgin Mary in their lives.
Dear Our Lady of Fatima,
we come to you on this commemorative day to offer our prayers and supplications. We ask that you continue to intercede for us and help us to live according to the message of peace and repentance that you shared with the world through the three young children in Fatima.
May your loving and motherly care continue to guide and protect us, and may your message of peace bring healing and hope to all those who are suffering in the world.
We entrust ourselves to your care, now and always. Amen.
