The story tells that fishermen in the region where the image was found were having difficulties in fishing, they prayed to the Virgin Mary and to God to help them. They were almost giving up when they found a broken statue of Our Lady of the Conception, as soon as the fishermen put the head to the body of the statue, it became so heavy that they could no longer carry it alone.
